I'm the founder of Rewildyourbody.com and The Wild Body Program. I'm a certified personal trainer and I've been helping people like you get healthy and fit since 2007. I love being as fit and strong as I can possibly be and pushing my body to it's limits through various forms of movement and physical activity and then discovering what lies beyond those limits.

I wasn't always into health, and I wasn't always that fit either, in fact I was quite the opposite.

There was a point in my life where I was so sick and unhappy with my body that I could barely carry on living. I didn't see any way out. I tried different things but I didn't really know what I was doing and none of it worked anyways.

It's a long story how I got to that point but I'll be brief...

My lifestyle caught up with me.

I had completely lost my connection to my body. It was weak, sick, and ached. I couldn't do the activities I wanted to do anymore.

My diet was full of junk food. I ate fast food on a daily basis, smoked, and did all sorts of other things that were NOT good for me. But...I didn't really know any better. I hadn't made the connection yet between diet and lifestyle, and HEALTH, ENERGY, VITALITY, and HAPPINESS.

I reached a point where I didn't want to go on living this way anymore and I started seeking answers. I completely immersed myself into the world of health and fitness and learned all that I could.

I started making changes, some small and some big... and I started to exercise almost daily...nothing too intense at first. I noticed results immediately.

Instead of feeling terrible and depressed all the time I began to feel amazing!

The more I stuck with it the better things got. I watched my body transform right before my eyes and my mind changed too. I was finally confident in myself. I felt like anything was possible.

The more I studied about fitness and nutrition the more I learned  that the natural approach works best. I was literally getting closer to nature with the way I ate, and the way I moved, and the closer to nature I got, the better I felt and looked.

I felt so great, and so happy and knew that there must be others who were going through what I went through with my body and I wanted to help them using the knowledge and experience I acquired.

Re-discovering my connection to my body through fitness, movement, and healthy eating literally saved my life. The results of these changes on my own life were so profound that I felt called to share this information with others... That's when I became a personal trainer and started helping others rewild their bodies and reach the vibrant state of health and fitness that we ALL deserve to have.

Since that time I have helped many people. One of those people captured my heart and her name is Alissa. Her and I had a lot in common, we helped each other in many ways. I shared with her all that I had learned and shared with my clients and she started making big changes in her life just as I had all those years ago.

Her transformation was amazing and I'm honored to have played a role in her body rewilding process.

Alissa convinced me to create a health and fitness program using the methods I have developed over the years so that I could share this life changing information with people all over the world.

Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. I'm Alissa and I'm the Founder of We Are Wildness and Co-Visionary of RewildYourBody.com. I've been wild at heart for most of my life. As a child I spent most of my days running around barefoot through the back yard lawns of my neighbourhood.

Running, jumping, crawling, climbing, sprinting, swimming, playing... the usual childhood activities. I also played many sports like soccer, volleyball, competitive gymnastics, figure skating, and track and field. I was a very active and fit child.

As I grew up and reached my teens I stopped moving my body as often and focused more on school, friends, and household chores.

By my early 20's I was barely moving my body at all, unless it was dancing at clubs or doing my once weekly gym visit when I would feel guilty about my diet or unhealthy activities.

As my movement level decreased and the freedom I gave myself to eat whatever I pleased increased, I started noticing a lot of health problems arise. The main ones were acne, stomach problems, weight gain, and depression.

I really struggled. I couldn't find the will to change my lifestyle, so as each month went by I continued to spiral further out of control.

I was trapped in a cycle of depression, binge eating, uncontrollable acne, more binge eating and ridiculous stomach pains and bloating that left me self conscious and anti-social.

I felt really hopeless and unsure of what to do. I couldn't get myself back on track, where I knew I had to be health wise.

I did what most of my friends and peers did during this time...I drank alcohol almost every weekend. It made me forget about my problems and lack of self-confidence. I was binge eating and binge drinking. My binging turned into a full on eating disorder before I could even fathom what had happened.

I got so depressed that I could no longer get out of bed. This almost lead to me to drop out of college only months before graduation. To deal with the depression I was self medicating with marijuana on a daily basis to a point where I was no longer motivated to pursue my goals and dreams.

My life was a complete mess. To this day I still don't fully understand how I made it out alive. But some good things happened that really helped...

When I was 25 years old something happened that changed my life in an extreme way. I met a guy named Kevin Park. He happened to be a really fit athlete and Personal Trainer who helped people lose weight and get in shape in a natural way. I was impressed with how much he knew about health, fitness and nutrition.

He inspired me to get more active, just  like I was when I was younger, by running, hiking, biking, playing and challenging my body. He encouraged me to eat more raw fruits and veggies, juices and smoothies, and cut out salt and alcohol.

I started seeing my younger healthier self again. I felt more wild and free in my body for the first time in a long time. I quickly lost 15 lbs, reduced water retention (especially the puffiness in my face) and bloating, improved my mood, felt energized all day long, felt sexy and light and wanted to get out and have adventures with friends.

I was so grateful for this new found health and vitality in my life.

4 years later at 29 here I am feeling better than I did at 18.

I reduced my acne, have no IBS and stomach problems, cured my eating disorder, have tons of energy and feel optimistic and excited about life.

I now feel confident in my body again and I'm able to do the things I enjoy doing, without discomfort or self consciousness. I was even asked to be a model for a local photo shoot and runway show which was so much fun (and I got some really cool photos out of it).

I'm so  happy that I discovered this lifestyle and made the choice to rewild my body, and I'm grateful to be able to help others by sharing my story.

I’m overweight. Can I still do this program or should I wait until I lose some weight? +

There is no better time to start your weight loss journey and no better way to do it than with exercise and healthy eating habits. Your body will benefit from the gradual progression and the workouts are designed to stimulate your metabolism and help you lose weight. Our nutritionist designed meal plans and recipes will assist you in your weight loss journey and give you the nourishment and energy you need to enjoy your workouts and succeed in this program.

I’ve never worked out before. Will I be able to handle this? +

You are capable of so much more than you think. You will learn all of the basics of natural fitness and get a great healthy start on staying fit for the rest of your life. With the support provided and a whole community of program participants, doing this along with you, you will have everything you need to be successful on this quest to make fitness a part of your lifestyle.

Will following this fitness program make me big and bulky? +

No. This program is designed to encourage fat loss and lean toned functional muscle. Just like a wild human would have. Your body WILL look better and feel better because you will burn fat and show more muscle definition. This is NOT a body building program!

What happens if I can't get through the program or give up early? +

Don’t worry. We’ve done our best to give you all of the tools and support you need to complete this program, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way. We all have busy lives and unexpected events and you shouldn’t beat yourself up or feel defeated if you don’t get through it the first time around or have some hiccups here and there. The most important thing is that you get back on board and try again. We’ll be here to support your journey every step of the way. You will have lifetime access to the private support group and will be able to enjoy unlimited use of the program once you download it. It’s yours to keep forever!
